18.11.04 - Funkwerk wins contract from Schweizerische Bundesbahnen

The trains of Schweizerische Bundesbahnen (SBB – Swiss Federal Railways) will now also be provided with digital mobile radio equipment (GSM-R terminals) from Funkwerk. A contract to that effect was signed in Berne yesterday, stipulating that Funkwerk supply and install around 1,500 GSM-R CAB radios over a period of around 3 years from mid-2005. The sales volume incidental to this will top 10 million Euro.

11.11.04 - Funkwerk raises sales and earnings expectations for 2004

Funkwerk AG has significantly raised its sales and earnings expectations for 2004: Following a record sales figure in the third quarter and in view of an incessantly strong growth rate in all three business segments, the Managing Board now anticipates sales for the whole year to exceed 240 million Euro (previously: 220 million Euro), and a stable EBIT margin of around 9.5%. According to the nine-monthly report presented today, Funkwerk managed an increase in sales from January to September of more than 50% as against the previous year, from 125.0 million Euro in 2003 to currently 189.2 million Euro. In the same period, its earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) gained by 58% to 18.2 million Euro (2003: 11.5 million Euro), while the consolidated net income rose by 56.2% to 11.4 million Euro (2003: 7.3 million Euro).

13.10.04 - Funkwerk further extends system competence

Funkwerk AG has closed a gap in its product portfolio in the area of information systems for transport companies: With the complete takeover of KJ GmbH, stationary display systems have now become an original part of the Funkwerk product portfolio. This move enabled Funkwerk to position itseself as a supplier of complete information systems.
