2000: "Funkwerk Dabendorf“is able to conclude long-term supply agreements for the COMPENSER ® with leading car manufacturers like Audi, BMW and Daimler-Chrysler. With the universal hands free arrangement "AUDIO IN 2000" the company puts a groundbreaking innovation on the market which is very well suited for the professional application in vehicles.

On 16 September 2002 the Funkwerk AG was founded.

Initially Funkwerk AG combines two companies from the “Hörmann Gruppe” under its roof, namely Funkwerk Dabendorf GmbH and HÖRMANN Funkwerk Kölleda GmbH. Headquarter of Funkwerk AG is located in Kölleda in Thuringia, near Erfurt. Dr. –Ing. Hans Grundner takes over the chairmanship in the board of directors.

On 15 November 2000: Funkwerk AG enters to the stock markets, initially being listed on the “Neuer Markt” of the Frankfurter Stock Exchange. In spite of the already clouded stock market mood the Funkwerk stock is recommend by the experts and is placed successfully. The issue price of 20 euros is already crossed during the day of the first note and Subscriber of the issue enjoys an appreciation of 17, 5% on the first day already.

The End of the year 2000: Contrary to the general market trends the Funkwerk stock rises up to 27 euros and the investors can be glad about a stock price gain of 35 percent in only six weeks. Funkwerk exceeds expectation for growth in sale and profit:
The turnover increases in comparison to the year before by about 27.8% to 38.1 mil euros, the result before taxes and interest (EBIT) rises by 53.5% to 3.9 mil euros. By the end of the year Funkwerk occupies more than 300 employees.
