08 July 2008: Access Point for Newcomers Provides Security in Wireless Networks

Funkwerk Enterprise Communications GmbH (FEC), a Funkwerk AG company, presents a new access point. W500 allows companies to supply their employees in home offices or small branch offices with a cost-effective and secure WLAN access. The device can also be operated in bridge or client mode. In the client mode, W500 acts as an interface to the wireless network for devices not supporting WLANs. In bridge mode, it establishes a wireless connection between individual wired networks.

20 June 2008: New Service Offered by FEC: Monitoring of Spam Waves on the FEC Web Site in Real-Time

Funkwerk Enterprise Communications GmbH (FEC), a company of Funkwerk AG, supports its partners in the fight against spam by means of its new online tool provided on the FEC Web site. The Funkwerk UTM (Unified Threat Management) Spam Outbreak Monitor enables users to monitor the spreading of spam e-mails online and in real-time. Spam Outbreak Monitor is based on the RPD Commtouch Engine, which is also used in the optional spam filter of the Funkwerk UTM systems. With its UTM systems, FEC comprehensively supports its customers to protect their networks against threats coming from the Internet.

WiLMA is there– Funkwerk Enterprise Communications GmbH (FEC), a Funkwerk AG company, presents WiLMA - its new wireless LAN management system. The new management software supports administrators in commissioning WLAN infrastructures and in daily maintenance tasks. Through central management, WiLMA considerably reduces costs for rollouts and maintenance of company-wide WLANs.

21 May 2008: Extension of the Funkwerk Portfolio: Switches Available Now

Funkwerk Enterprise Communications GmbH (FEC), a Funkwerk AG company, introduces a new product family with the S series: the switches complete the existing portfolio of network components. In a first step, FEC will introduce three different devices into the market. The S208 connects up to 8 network devices at high bandwidths and with minimum configuration effort. The other two devices of the S series, the S128p again for 8 network devices and the S1224p for up to 24 network devices, moreover support Power over Ethernet (PoE according to Standard IEEE 802.3af): they power up 4, respectively 12 end devices.

In this function, the 42-year old is responsible for the planning, controlling, and organization of sales operations, as well as for the implementation of sales and acquisition strategies in the national and international market. Torsten Urban is well-acquainted with FEC projects and partners. In the course of the past years, he has already been responsible for the design, implementation, and further development of the FEC product and solution portfolio.

With the elmeg IP-S290plus, Funkwerk Enterprise Communications GmbH (FEC), a Funkwerk AG company, presents a new system telephone for connection to the local network. The successor to the successful elmeg IP-S290 facilitates Voice over IP (VoIP) with the accustomed systems telephony functions. With a stand-by time of 100 hours and a talk time of 10 hours, funkwerk DECT80 is suitable even when operated continuously by frequent callers. The funkwerk DECT80 is intended for operation with analog PBX systems.
