With its new design of bintec R series routers, Funkwerk Enterprise Communications GmbH (FEC), a Funkwerk AG company, offers not only higher encryption performance, but also raises data throughput rate at the same time. bintec R1200(w), bintec R3000(w), bintec R4100 and bintec R4300 provide double or triple the encryption performance than the predecessor models from the X and VPN series and also offer a data throughput rate of just under 90 Mbps with 3DES or AES. The FEC hardware acceleration is available without a licence for these models and is activated on installation.

Funkwerk Enterprise Communications GmbH (FEC), a Funkwerk AG company, steps up its involvement in the growth market for integrated access devices (IADs): To this end, the company has founded the subsidiary Funkwerk IAD GmbH to independently develop and market new product in the sector at its sites in Nuremberg and Kiel. IADs are access devices, which receive bundled services, such as Internet telephony, Internet TV and Internet access, via a DSL line and forward them to end devices, such as telephones, televisions or computers. IADs are primarily used by carriers and Internet service providers (ISPs) for their end customers. In the commercial environment, IADs also allow for the implementation of PBX functions.
