In our Automotive Communication segment, Funkwerk focuses on customised connectivity and infotainment solutions both in the vehicle and on products that make it possible to network the vehicle with the outside world. As a tier 1 supplier, we deliver directly to European car and lorry manufacturers, concentrating here not only on the premium sector. Our core competences also include the Compenser technology, which ensures optimal connection of mobile terminals used in the vehicle to wireless networks (GSM, UMTS, LTE). In cooperation with our customers, we develop solutions that help integrate terminals into the vehicle. This includes Bluetooth, USB, HDMI, NFC, WLAN or wireless charging, to name but a few technologies of the current “connectivity” megatrend.

In addition to telematics solutions for OEM applications, we also offer telematics systems as after-market equipment for forwarding agents and operators of sizeable fleets that allow innovative real-time fleet management. Funkwerk has developed a special range of on-board computers for its telematics applications, which combine telematics computer, navigation device and hands-free unit in a modular concept. The system solutions from Funkwerk enable operators of vehicle fleets such as transport service providers, intra-company transport, field services or special fleets to monitor and manage their fleets so as to save costs. In the area of telematics services, Funkwerk offers its easyfleet® portal as a standardised package with similar components for the fleet vehicle market.
